Ok we know for a fact that every puppy barks, but many puppies tend to get out of control to the point where it’s just too much to handle.

First you will want to setup a situation where your puppy will almost always bark. Here is an example: ask someone to ring your doorbell or knock on your door. When you see that your puppy approaches the door barking you will want to approach your puppy, grab him/her and give them the demand to “quiet”. You will not want to shout and the puppy because this will only make the situation worse.

Second if he/she happens to stop barking that’s great and you will want to praise and reward him.

On the other had if he/she continues barking you will want to close the puppies’ mouth with your hands. You will also want to wrap your fingers around his muzzle. Then you will want to give him/her the “quiet” command. You will want to praise and reward if he/she stops.

Most puppies are able to learn the “quiet” command by simply repeating this type of training. If possible you will want to set up similar situations to try and get your puppy to bark.Then all you have to do is
simply repeat the training when possible.
